Dear Friends:
I
am delighted to have the opportunity
to send greetings and words of welcome
to those who study or plan to study
in the great State of New York.
The Empire State is quite privileged
to be home to may distinguished institutions
of higher learning which are renowned
for their academic excellence. We
recognize and value their ability
to foster the intellectual growth
and personal enrichment of the students
who matriculate here, encouraging
lifelong learners who go on to become
productive, creative members of society.
We in New York relish the chance to
set you on a wonderful and exciting
adventure in growing and learning,
preparing to meet the challenge of
you own goals, and to become the leaders,
the professional, the artists, writers,
teachers and thinkers of tomorrow.
There is, of course, much to see
and do in New York while you attend
school here. New York State is breathtakingly
beautiful and varied, from the Falls
at Niagara, to the shore of Long Island.
New York City sparkles as the cultural
capital of the world. You will find
that you are learning all the time,
even when you are not studying. The
varied opportunities and limitless
options here will go a long way in
assisting you to achieve your own
unique potential.
